Is it just me or does the concept of "scavenging" have absolutely nothing to do with the insane prices at Wright Now or Modern Times?
I love AT but this always bugs me. $4500 for a sofa is the opposite of scavenging, that's called "going to an auction and taking no prisoners".

To me it's not the price so much as the condition of this stuff. "Scavenge" to me means to find a diamond in the rough... these are diamonds in a jewelry store.

I was going to agree with both of you at first until I went to check the dictionary. A scavenger is just someone who picks through and takes objects from others' discarded items. It's just that these are discards from very discerning and sometimes wealthy owners.

The one by Edward Wormley looks like the Rochelle Sofa from Gus Modern, and Gus's is only $1899!!!
