My mother has the entire bedroom suite and I doubt anyone in 1969 would have referred to it as Danish Modern, it was just modern (and made in N. Carolina.)

Kurt: Danish Modern is a style of furniture ... it does not necessarily have to be crafted in Denmark; however, the artisans who made it famed - such as Hans Wegner - were Danish. Much like Impressionism, it's more of a movement than an indication of where it was crafted. Impressionism was developed in France by French, but many American or other artists adopted the style as well.

Likewise, the Danish Modern furniture movement swept the world and was eventually made in numerous places.
