I love those chairs. I remember them from the University Library at Bowling Green State University in Ohio in the 1970s. I got six of them a few months ago in black off Ebay for $10 each.
Ty Pennington got some in multi-colors like these from a sale at a University near him for $5 each in his kitchen/dining room.
They last forever and should be called a classic for the wear and tear they do NOT show and how up-to-date they STILL look. It has proved itself a stylish work-horse over time.
