This library card catalog cabinet is being sold in Oak Park, from a home where it was used for storing wine and VHS tapes, among other things. This is the kind of piece that just oozes potential, although the look is so heavy and boxy we're not sold on it working in most apartments. Thoughts?

Most of these card catalogs are actually two pieces that stack one on top of the other. If that's the case here, unstacking and placing side-by-side could create a nice sideboard, and look less bulky.
wahhhhh!!!! i want that car catalog sooooo bad. i need to win the lottery first though. :(
It would look delicious with polished hardware and a strong jewel tone paint. Oh, I wish I could have that piece anchoring a diningroom.
