For today's Scavenger, we're rounding up a few vintage items in white: a coffee table with white tile inlay in Pilsen for $80, a pair of white wicker patio chairs in Rockford for $195, a white painted Heywood Wakefield desk in Chicago for $500, and a set of four marble topped tables in Hoffman Estates for $200. Jump below for links and more good finds:

Wow, that Heywood Wakefield desk looks way better painted then art deco waterfall stuff does when painted.
I'm kinda suprised they still want $500 for it when its value is essentially shot.
Would be cool in a kids room.

That painted Heywood desk breaks my heart just a little bit.
Maybe it looks better in person, but not in those pictures!

Actually, I kinda like the desk painted. The lines show beautifully, at least in that photo. It's also nice to see someone had the oomph to experiment with paint.

The painted desk bums me out.If I bought it I'd strip it.

Are those two metal frame chairs Emeco? If so, and for just $5 for the BOTH of them, I WISH I lived in Chicago!

I have a Heywood Wakefield ant leg table. The original finish on it was shot, and it's an extremely difficult (and expensive) finish to reproduce. I did the same thing...painted it white, and I love it 1000 times more. The white with those lines looks fantastic.

If the finish on the HW desk was so horrible that it had to be painted I would have prefered a fun color like red, kelly green or aqua. The white looks very 80s to me.
