Matthew Hilton has been working as a designer for years and now he has started his own line. Slated to be available for sale in Spring of 2008, the furniture is going to be produced in "relatively small quantities, using hand-skills based manufacturing". The pieces we've seen are super appealing - an update of 20th century shapes that manage to retain the pleasing, upbeat energy of mid-century classic furniture design.

These are beautiful. I'm sure they will be out of my price range, but it makes me happy to see any designer turning out well-designed and well-made pieces. Good luck Matthew!

I <3 that coffee table.
Question: Are all his furniture "solid" throughout or Veneered?

Yeah, I can guarantee it'll be out of my price range too, but when I see something so beautiful and entirely handmade, i can't fault the craftsman for pricing it whatever he/she thinks it's worth. The pieces are beautiful!

oh my goodness, i'm swooning over the arm chair and armed dining chair. as an investment in a piece you'd love forever, i bet they're worth every penny. (and i hardly ever say that!)
