Gubi at Morlen Sinoway Atelier

One of our favorite pieces in our home is a second-hand Gubi chair we found through AT's Scavenger column. We love the molded plywood shape, which references classic mid-century modern forms but also feels new and original. Looking online at Chicago store Morlen Sinoway Atelier, we noticed some more pieces by Gubi that we thought we'd share...

When they debuted in 2003, Gubi Chairs were the first furniture made from molded 3-D veneer that made it possible to decrease a wooden chair's thickness from 10mm to 5mm. A few years later, we think they still look fresh.

7000club, sorry - the big photo went missing from the post. It's the Diva Daybed from Gubi.
