This line of seating from Pottery Barn just screams spring - lightweight rattan, bright, and detailed. We really love those chairs, but we're not sure if they'd be suited for year-round use. Thoughts? (chair detail and barstools below...)

Couldn't one just toss some slipcovers over those chairs in the winter?

I was thinking of using the stools for my kitchen. Do you think they're sturdy enough (I have teenagers)?

love the mustard color.

I agree with bespf, just cover them. Or just have "winter barstools" as well. That would give your room an instant makeover.

Why do they need to be covered? Since when do we change our furniture by season? If these chairs are paired with a substantial table (ie. not rattan), they would work year-round. We have rattan chairs in a bone color paired with the large Basque table from Crate & Barrel (http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=881&f=3948), and we love the combination.
