We're putting our faith in the designer, Patricia Urquiola, and her choice of our favorite materials: felt, wool and leather, and trusting that the words "chaise" and "comfort" continue to be synonymous.
Because the covers are reversible, a smoother, more quilted surface can be acquired if the open fabric petals become too much to handle.
Popgadget likens the chaises to origami, and although felt, leather, and wool are far from delicate materials, the triangular patchwork design brings out the delicate nature of origami creations. The stainless steel bases mimic the same delicately contoured shapes of the fabric, but again, say steel and we know it's strong.
Feminine and stylish, and at the same time - practical - that is P. Urquiola's style since her early designs and this one is the model that most strongly demonstrates it.
