the first 2 are ok, the third just looks like a nicer klippan from ikea.

I had the Room & Board Archer sofa and it was incredibly comfy and worked beautifully in my small space

The westwood is comfortable enough for the price, but there is definitely a noticeable difference between these and their pricier cousins. I was hoping to purchase one of these a few weeks ago, but after sitting on them all we decided on the Townsend, which doesn't have the same styling, but is still modern and much more comfortable.

I would steer clear of the Encore. I purchased it a few months back and returned it, because it is extremely firm and uncomfortable after long periods of time. And the microfiber material produces an insane amount of static electricity.

I have the Klippen and I hate it so much. I would never want to buy a more expensive version!

We have the Encore in our guest room/sitting room and we love it. I like the firmness, especially for sleeping and the microfiber's great because it's soft an easy to keep clean. The only issue we have is that it's a real squeeze to get two guests onto it. They better like each other a lot because they will be sleeping VERY close to one another.

you didn't even include my favorite, the haley. pretty stripes!

The Encore looks like an expensive futon and the Melrose looks like an expensive Klippan, so those are out. I like the lines on the Westwood, but I like a.s.n.'s suggestion of the Haley even more--you're right, those stripes are striking!

None of them, because I don't like boxy modern furniture.
I was disappointed the last time I looked at R&B how much of their stuff would really only fit a modern design ethic. Even their range of fabrics has really narrowed. I don't want something strictly traditional but I much prefer furniture with curves and rounded edged.

I wish they had a better website. For those of us who don't have a local store, we need multiple views. It's hard to warrant a trip based on a single snapshot. Chose the Westwood among those three, the other two seemed more kid-room-like.

For $300 more you can get a Townsend or Klein; both are fare more comfortable. The new less expensive sofas at Room & Board don't have separating cushions, and as such the seat is very firm and bouncy. You can't really sink into them and enjoy a good book.
