We have to admit that we're a little biased against Z Gallerie. The name and some of their products seem to date the store back a decade or so, but lately we've seen a few nice, reasonably priced items there. Looking at furniture today, we were drawn to the Derek Sofa. Although it may not be groundbreaking, it has some distinctive features...

We like the leggy design, the curved arms, and the simplicity of the white down-filled cushions, but our favorite part is the line of nickel-head tacks along the bottom of the piece. At $1,399, the Derek Sofa falls within the affordable, mid-range category of pricing. We also liked the indoor/outdoor Cane Rug, currently on sale for $200 (marked down from $270).
That sofa has too may legs!

i love the z gallerie at easton in columbus ohio. the sales staff is just lovely there. i shop with 2 toddlers and they still always make me feel welcome, are extra helpful. they have nice clearance prices on accessories and will box anything nice enough for gift giving.

Z Gallerie doesn't have an original thought. Everything they carry are ideas they stole from others. When I had a business as a product designer with a booth at both the NY and SF gift fair the buyer of Z Gallerie would stand inside my booth and whisper to a companion and within 6 weeks I'd see my designs knocked off in their stores.

This is a story I've heard so many times - and I witnessed it too when I was in furniture retail years back in the 90's: Z Gallerie folks would hit the stores here in SF and see what they were offering, then you'd see similar things in their stores a few weeks later...
