Driftwood Lounge from Bleu Nature

Escape to the beach with these driftwood pieces by French furniture maker Bleu Nature. The collection includes a sofa and armchair. Both are upholstered, but their backs are made of driftwood that's been hand-selected by the folks at Bleu Nature...

These two pieces from Bleu Nature might have rustic backs, but the white arms and upholstered seats are completely contemporary.

0814_bleu3.jpg From the "nice story" on the Bleu Nature website: "Every year, a team from Bleu Nature combs the beaches for pieces of driftwood. Large or small, straight or twisted—each piece deserves special attention. Once brought back safely to our home base, the driftwood is sorted and stored. They need no further processing because the water has frozen them in time forever."

Would need a lot of pillows --- notice how deep the chair is for sitting!
Looks like furniture for the truly rich, got to have the lastest, I don't really sit on my furniture crowd!
The 5 million and up crowd who own condos in NY or Chi town.
