The other day, we posted a roundup of 60s and 70s style lounge seating, from Hans Hopfer's Mah Jong Sofa to Verner Panton's Amoebe Chair. Although inspiring, many of those designs are in the thousands of dollars, beyond the reach of an average shopper. In case you're looking for a budget version of low-slung lounge seating, we've compiled a few resources for floor cushions and modern beanbags from $25 to $300...

Thanks you for this post!
I've been using floor cushions for years as a way to provide casual but sophisticated seating for guests.
Yet, I'm surprised there aren't more of these cushions on the market. They're incredibly comfortable and are a different way to make a room pop!

I love the way the pile of homemade cushions looks! I've been thinking about floor pillows for a while as a way to address the fact that there is only room for seating for three in my living room.

Is that low stool in the second picture also from Urban Outfitters? I like the idea of a floor cusion on a low stool.

Anyone have any clue about the Urban floor cushion and platform? I wonder about the quality and if anyone has experience with it to share.

I have an UO floor cushion. The foam isn't the most resilient, but it's pretty well constructed and comfortable for lounging.
