Are his peices still Manufactured by ROWE furniture?, cause if they are, the prices that thy're chargeing and the quaility of construction is totally out of wack!

No, they are no longer being made by ROWE-there are being made by a small company in the midewest somewhere and only for his stores.
The quality is decent-but check out the seat cushion on the lampert love-its a bit big and flipping up on the left side..

I love the brown leather chesterfield.
Even though it's sort of another high-priced, sexed-up Klippen sofa.

OMG he should never have revived that terrible pukey gold, ahem, "Vice Olive" shade from the seventies. I expect the velvet couch to be accompanied by cast-iron "spanish galleon" lamps with thick gold glass shades. Ugh.

Whats funny "jezebella" is thats pretty much what he might do, have you ever seen the books Simon Dooan and him put out? to be painfully honest i adored j. adler when he was just a simple cute potter with an adorable little dog. then all of a sudden he became this mogal with some of the more questionable combos ive seen!

these are lovely, but i have a couch at home (in a very light silver blue) that is quite similar to this (tufted back and all) that i found on craiglist for $100. never sat on.

Lampert looks much better in the platinum fabric, which (no surprise) is actually what they stock the sofa in. All other fabrics are custom. And I agree -- that green would get old really, really fast. If you want that color, hit up craigslist.

does anyone know the name of the manufacturer? I have been looking at the Jonathan Adler sofas ever since the store opened in Chicago, but am wary of buying one that is not 8-way hand tied. My current sofa is over 25 years old - slipcovered twice, and I need to purchase one which will last as long. Would appreciate any and all critiques of quality.
