We like the look of vintage pieces that have been given a modern makeover and absolutely subscribe to the concept that redoing older (and probably better made) pieces is a wise choice when it comes to upholstered furniture. That's one reason why Spruce Home caught our eye...

I bought a pair of chairs from them just last month - I can tell you that the upholstery is immaculately and imaginatively done (my chairs have a bold bird pattern....with just the right placement on the vintage chairs). Mine are ebonized and the finish is flawless. And they came to me on the Greyhound bus from Austin to CT - I find it funny that my chairs took the bus! All in all it was a great experience. And my chairs are showstoppers.
