That first room is just gorgeous...
In my parent's townhouse they didn't have room in their bedroom for the wardrobe that was part of their bedroom set - so I had them place it in the dining area to hold dishes, linens, glassware and wines - and it worked quite well.

I added an armoire to our small guest room for storage of craft supplies. (I have too much!) We rarely have guests, but when we do, this is at least tidy to look at, as opposed to the piles lying around from before!

I have been checking the armoire listings on craigslist recently, and now is a good time to pick one up. I think a lot of folks had one for their TV, and don't need it after they get a flat screen. A lot of inventory, many very reasonably priced. Sometimes they are listed as an "armoir".

I so find it sad people need a home bar - that's pathetic you need an entire bar set up. I guess some think they must have alcohol to have a good time.
We use an armoire for for a television in the bedroom. I know I'm going to get slammed for this, but we like having an extra TV so we can go off and watch our own shows when we like it.

Wow ChrisGal, pathetic? I think its pathetic that you need to put down other people's ideas.
We love having a mini bar in our home. Its much cheaper than going out for a drink. We don't drink all the time, but we do entertain in our home a lot, and like to have many options to whip up something fun.
Maybe someone should tell you your ideas are pathetic.

Jessiemarie - Sorry to break your own bubble you are building, but I have heard it. But honestly, I can't think of a single person outside of this site (or on some crazy design show) who really has a home bar. Maybe some of us realize just how easy it is for someone to have more than a few drinks...and maybe that person will be driving home from someone else's house, like yours.
Honestly, if you can't be creative enough to have fun without alcohol, well I feel really really sorry for you.

We have a home bar. Mostly because we entertain a lot during the summer. Plus I'd rather hang out here and have cocktails with friends instead of a loud bar where we can't visit. And...MUCH cheaper.

I figure it's sarcasm but honestly, you are more cool if you can say no to the alcohol.
I'd rather serve up a nice batch of sweet tea if I'm celebrating....it tastes as good (I have had some alcohol - never saw the big deal) and at least I know my guests won't be driving drunk.
