God how I loved Iona's apartment! I still wish I lived there.

My favorite room was the living room with that fabulous couch, the black and white checked floor, Iona in her beehive.

The lightbulb lamp looks cool, but is an incredible fire hazard. Light bulbs break very easily, especially if cats or children are nearby.

I wore out my VHS copy of Pretty in Pink because I would rewind and freeze-frame on Iona's apartment so many times. It was solid early inspiration for decorating my own home.

I too wore out my VHS tape of Pretty in Pink - I cried the day I heard that little snap of tape - now I have it on DVD I can play it as much as I want!
