I have those Time Life books!! Well, of the Nature library, we have maybe... six. The Science library collection is much more complete; I adore the Planets one.

those books began my lifelong obsession with science. as i have read from other people, they seemed to inspire alot of little american kiddos in the 70's-80's. too bad things like that dont come out anymore. you cant pull out a wiki archive in the same way as an old musty timelife book!

We have a different edition of those same science books. They belonged to my husband as a kid; he's a science professor now. I guess they did their job. :)

I grew up with those books, too, but I was happier to see the travel plate - I've got some that were my grandma's and I love them. They're in storage until we find a bigger house, but I can't wait to display them with the coffee mugs I collect.
