Name: Ginger
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Size & Type: 625 sq. ft. two bedroom
Favorite resource: "Red Shoes Home Goods for color inspiration."
Pitch: "My husband and I used bright colors and an efficient furniture arrangement to create a vibrant home for the two of us, our infant daughter and dog. Because we weren't allowed to paint the walls we used fabrics to add visual interest."

There is something very charming about this place. I don't know what it is exactly...I voted Cool.

you can work with the wall color, I think you've got great bones. I find there's too much going on in the living room color/pattern-wise, but the dog, cool club chair, and table lamp are my favorite parts!

i feel like maybe there could have been some better angles here...
the bad: the clock above the chair looks so loney. its a shame the dishwasher had to go there, it looks out of place in an otherwise fab kitchen (jealous of your vintage cabinets!), the too-long curtains may be your preference, but i'd certainly hem them.
the good: the kitchen cabinets, the club chair, hardwood floors, and whats that chest in the first photo?
not a winner, but has potential! :)

it's a nice place- it just doesn't have the wow factor.

The color palette here feels a bit incongruent.

Thanks for your comments. Our place is definitely a work-in-progress. It's slow going right now because 1 med student 1 stay-at-home mom = 0 money to decorate. I agree the dishwasher looks funny in that location but I can't seem to figure out a better configuration.

Love the kitchen cabinets - unfortunately the diswasher distracts from the great curved shelving section.

The vintage kitchen cabinets are awesome. The dining area looks cozy.

You've got three primary colors in the living room. I'd recommend losing one.
