apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

I'm confused -- what's special about this????

ArchDarling, what I think is special about this:
1, the colors are lovely ( the blue in the hallway is just right)
2, it's a work in progress that is beautiful already
3, it didn't cost a fortune
4, this is what the AT Cure is about - having a warm and alive home that pleases and expresses those who live there.
5, she really has a very good eye - she makes it look easy.
The proportions of the furniture in the living room are just right ( bedroom maybe not yet). The details get better if you keep looking -like the bird hanging by the fireplace and the organized but not complulsive cabinet.
6, it's modern, but honors tradition and heritage ( it helps that her mom was beautiful like Laure). Warm modern is easier said than done.
