apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

International # 15: Laura & Paul's Refuge Above the Highway

Name: Laura & Paul
Location: Montreal, Canada
Size: 477 sf
Rent/Own: Rent

What is the advantage of SMALL? My small space means having almost everything I love within view.

What's your favorite resource for your home?

There is a store called Zone right down the street, I don't even need a reason to go in there and browse for new things to decorate my house.

What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home?

Its really so many things put together that makes this an amazing space. The exposed brick wall and the fact that the tiny bedroom is lower then the rest of the apartment makes the whole feel of our house so cozy.

Love the succulents in the shadow boxes. I may have to steal that idea.

Your entry needs a more glamorous name.

I would suggest "Highway Hideaway" or
"Next Stop, Rest Stop."

Is the water in that fishtank Yellow???

I really don't get a feel for those rooms from the pix - more vignette photography...

I love the living room shot of the chair with exposed brick behind it. Seems like the perfect place to curl up on a rainy day.

Most parts are really nice except the bed room, that asian art thing just make the room looks really cheap.

love the yellow chair (and the brick wall and painting and cat) but the rest is just eh. why take a picture of a not-so-nice dresser and fish tank?
