What is the advantage of SMALL? For us living small makes us more organized and small makes us really understand the difference between a need and a want. We save money and we gain time together, we wouldn't want it any other way!

What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home?

Our favorite element is how much our small, cool home reflects us, our style, and our personalities. Several pieces in our apartment were made by either us or family members so that makes it feel even more special and unique.

What a lovely bathroom! Good that no-one had modernized it. "Ruinovated" as someone at AT said a while back.

Love the acid green kitchen cabs, vinatge table fans, pop art on the walls. I am acid green with envy over your transom window.

I could never live with that much (or those shades) of green, but the french doors and balcony help make up for that. Overall a nice place; pleasant and cool.

I totally noticed the wax lion too, and figured that the owner had to be a Wonderfalls fan. I want one too!

I love the vintage fans, those blue chairs (where are they from?) the artwork arrangements and a kitchen, which isn’t totally my style, but which you can’t help smiling at!

Thanks for the nice comments! The orange lion is actually from the Brookfield Zoo outside of Chicago, they have "Mold-A-Rama" machines that make wax figures of various animals. And MoJonson the toilet does give a rather good flush.

I remember my mom begging my dad to purchase the filament and smoked acrylic pendant lamp from Sears. I loved that lamp.

It caused me to have bad early 70's flashbacks but I think it's great that you embraced the horrible green and made it into something appealing to you.

my favorite!

the residents of this place have taste to spare and tons of guts in the color department.
clean and stylish but obviously inhabited, with a good mix of new and vintage.

the corner by the bed with the lounge chair, bookcase, wall sconce, and vintage fans is PERFECT.

I really like your place! The kitchen is killer and the bathroom is so lovely. This might be a really weird question but where did you get the lime green fabric storage bin in the bathroom? I've been looking for some!

Hi Jessibee, I got it at Target, they should still have some in the home storage/shelving section.
Thanks again for the nice comments everyone!

Great color; great style. Loved the kitchen. Also, I know the floor plans are probably not exact, but why wouldn't you put a bed in the alcove leading to the bathroom? Even if you could only slink next to the bed to get o the bathroom, it would make your living space a real living space, even if you had to put your dressers in your living room.

I love that bathroom so much. It's traditional yet has the color quirk that makes it distinct, gives it soul.

Ugg.. I thought that green had left us for good. Apparently I was wrong.

Everything besides the kitchen is great! You've got the feeling of lots of space without actually having space. The artwork, the furniture, and the personalities of the homeowners all mesh together with the existing architecture of the space!

One thing tho, I want you to repeat after me: "I will buy a bookshelf, and pick my books up off the floor"
