Who was your favorite entry and why?

I envy a lot of the international spaces because of the architecture...great bones on which to further great design. The entry that keeps charging my batteries is Luca's. The ingenuity to create a workable space with such SF constraint is really stimulating. The place is disciplined to say the least. (Of that I lack.) This tied with my adoration of Stephanie in Chicago. Anyone who creates a goddess shrine in the closet is obviously devoted to details. Without formally knowing her, I am sure we would be fast friends; her personality is so delightfully reflected in her choices. Draw of the 2 extremes.

What's your next improvement?

The kitchen, of course, is where I would improve next. I believe you should spend the most time and money on the spaces in which you utilize most. The kitchen to me, is no more than a hallway and a location to store a corkscrew and champagne flutes. I would have liked to have changed the tile, counters, lighting, all fixures and the cabinets. But, I actually think it is really wasteful to purchase a completed refurb and then gut it, so I decided to live with the developers decisions. Maybe next year now that Smeg is in the states.

Unfortunately, I'm with terka27. Suzi has definitely executed the style well, I just don't happen to share this aesthetic.

I love the boxing sign in your bedroom. Where did you find it? The doggie is really cute too. I don't get the view of the toilet paper though? Some of the other nick nacks are a little too strange for my taste as well. I have already picked my favorite. It's a room with a view. Best wishes.

Hey Suzi,

I love the place. From the floorplan of the apt, I think you're in an awesome building. I live close by in Columbus. Where are your favorite places for finding pieces.

I love the uniqueness in every corner. Almost as if each piece has a story associated with it.

I definitely would love to hear from you - rystephenson@gmail.com.

Suzi has a nice collection of things, but far too much clutter for such a small space. It feels more like an attic than a hip apartment.

i adore Suzi! she's even been kind enough to lock me in her shop once! and yeah . . . it WAS a bit like the movie "Mannequin". great style and such amazing pieces with some dark edge to balance the antique glamour.

Oh I'm so glad you made it to the finals, so we could see more of your pictures. That picture of the bed's wood footboard/apothecary chest was awesome. I love the antique wood aesthetic you have going on throughout the apt! I love the genuinely quirky touches (not the usual "hey look at me I'm so quirky! Really! Guys?" that some apts have). My only dislikes are the creepy orange doll-head that was originally in the kitchen (weirded me out then too) and now in the living room, and the giant fly on the fruit. Otherwise, you walked that line very nicely. In all, I have to say I love this apt and I'm glad you won! Hope you enjoy the prize!
