CHI Spring Cure Close-Up: Bathrooms

Since it's Bathroom Month and the Spring Cure is going on, we've brought the two together. Technically, bathrooms aren't tackled until Week Six of the Cure, but a lot of our Curers have been cleaning and decluttering their whole homes. Even if you're not participating in the Cure, you can apply some of the same principles to upgrading your own bathroom...

Getting rid of unnecessary things and creating room for breath in your home is a big part of the Cure. In the bathroom, junk tends to pile up in the medicine cabinet. For tips on decluttering, see Maxwell's post on How To Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet.

During Week One, we also look into green cleaning products for the whole home. This is especially important in the bathroom, where you use cleaning supplies a lot. You can check ReNest and search our archives for green cleaning recommendations, and see this post for tips on chemicals to avoid.

Buying flowers is also one of the Cure's weekly rituals. Besides decluttering and cleaning, bringing some flowers into the bathroom is a simple way to improve your space.

from a pharmacy perspective, a perfect medicine cabinet...containing no medicine.

dont forget people the bathroom is the worst place to keep any medications, particularly tablets, its hot, its humid and its bright. without these factors most pills last long past the expiration, with them most wont make it that far.
