We've had a lot of sign-ups for our Chicago Cure group, and it's shaping up to be an amazing group! Thanks to all who joined, and we apologize for some delays in receiving the official sign-up forms. If you've signed up and you're still not on our list (below the jump), let us know in the comments and we'll add you.

Since we've had so much action in our Flickr group, we're adding a mid-week roundup to our Cure schedule. Look for posts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with new photos, updated assignments, and good links...

Weekly Assignment (Deep Treatment): In the deep treatment, you're doing a lot of cleaning. If you haven't already made the switch to green cleaning products, it's a great way to significantly improve the air quality in your home. For recommendations, search our archives.

• Make a complete list of repairs and solutions.
• Vacuum and mop the floors.
• Remove one item from your apartment.
• Buy fresh flowers.
• Sit for 10 minutes in a part of your home that you never sit in.
• Look into earth-friendly cleaning products.

Weekly Assignment (One-Room Workout): This is a fun week for One-Room Workout folks. Gather ideas, check AT for inspiration, and set a budget. If you're honest with yourself from the start about what you're going to spend, your project falls into place a lot more easily.

• Choose your room.
• Collect inspirational pictures of rooms you love.
• Start a style tray.
• Visit your favorite home store.
• Set a budget.

I happen to know that Stellarmom is also from New Orleans...not that I see her everyday or anything...

This morning I was thinking about my repairs list. I was also grumbling to myself that every cure it seems the same item is on the list. The bathroom sink tap is dripping. It is not that I don't get it fixed, it's that it keeps unfixing itself. (To add to the grumbleness of the problem, I have lived in two apartments over the course of the Cures I have done, and the same item has been on my Cure repair lists for both apartments. Grumble.) Now, not only is the bathroom sink tap dripping (again), but occasionally the handle comes off in my hand when I turn on the hot water. Sigh.

Am I expecting too much to think that a bathroom tap should stay fixed for longer than a few months at a time? I've had this one fixed three times since I moved in (a year ago this month), and here we go again, drip drip drippity run. With handle flinging on the side. Gah.

scb - can you pop a little top off of the handle that keeps coming off? And is there a screw under it? You may just need a small machine screw in there to keep everything together.

I hear ya. That's one of the reasons I decided to focus on the basement. Writing down "new tiles for kitchen floor" and "install new shower surround" and "re-finish hardwood" AGAIN was going to drive me mad.

However, we do still need to re-wire the house. (sigh).
