We missed a few people in the run-down of our committed Curers last time, so we've added some names to the list. Let us know in the comments if we missed you and we'll put you in the roster. (Curious about how the Cure works? Click here to find out.)
Today we embark on Week One, which is all about creating a vision for your space. Deep Treatment folks are cleaning, decluttering, and making lists of repairs. Those doing the One-Room Workout are starting a style tray, setting a budget, and looking for inspiration. Click below for weekly assignments and good links.

Not Sure Where They Are, But They're In*: metromom, Signe, pxlchk1, olya, jess2nola, Francesca
*A note about sign-ups: The list includes people that have submitted sign-up forms, or let me know in the comments that they're participating in the Cure. Since the Flickr Pool includes some lapsed participants, I'm going by current forms and comments to make the list of Curers. If you're in but I don't have your location, let me know and I'll put you in the right spot on our list. Thanks to everyone for joining!

Weekly Assignment (Deep Treatment): In the deep treatment, you're doing a lot of cleaning. If you haven't already made the switch to green cleaning products, it's a great way to significantly improve the air quality in your home. For recommendations, search our archives.
• Make a complete list of repairs and solutions.
• Vacuum and mop the floors.
• Remove one item from your apartment.
• Buy fresh flowers.
• Sit for 10 minutes in a part of your home that you never sit in.
• Look into earth-friendly cleaning products.
Weekly Assignment (One-Room Workout): This is a fun week for One-Room Workout folks. Gather ideas, check AT for inspiration, and set a budget. If you're honest with yourself from the start about what you're going to spend, your project falls into place a lot more easily.
• Choose your room.
• Collect inspirational pictures of rooms you love.
• Start a style tray.
• Visit your favorite home store.
• Set a budget.

Good Links:
• smallcitybeth needs a new landing strip.
• raikenn is looking at bedroom colors and a closet fix.
• jess2nola's finished bathroom project looks great.
• Alana's new cottage is already looking really cute.
• STLcolleen is working on the bedroom closet.
• amanda rae also is tweaking the landing strip.
• oltremare is focusing on the dining room.

I thought I signed up for the Chicago Spring Cure. I think I did it on the New York post, but it had a list for which city or at least I thought it did. I'm in, and I live in Minnesota.
I'm still a little confused with all the different spots to post. Are we supposed to tag or post our flickr photos to the chicago group or to an overall group?

I also thought I signed up for Chicago....
Please add me.
I'm in Kentucky...and got an early start this weekend, tackling my laundry room/pantry. Pics to be posted soon :)

i thought I signed up as well. . . . maybe not? I'm oltremare, i'm in the chicago burbs, and that's my dining room. :)

Yeah, I think there are some issues with the sign up form because I submitted one as well. When I post before pics tonight you'll understand why my office needs the cure so so badly.

This'll be fun--two Alana's in the Chicago cure!
I've posted my goals for the week on the blog and I'm happy to report I have one, count it, one, emptied shelf in the basement wall o' shelves. I say "emptied" but not "empty" because I'm going to sort everything that was on it (Picture frames and pictures collected over many, many years) and decide what I'll keep and what I'll let go.
It's harder than it sounds. I always think I'll have a use for a picture frame (eventually).

btw, it is heartwarming of whomever is running the Chicago cure (I didn't see a name in the post) not to insist on us using the sign-up sheet to make us feel welcome and included. I appreciate it.

I signed up but have not checked in with the flicker group in about a week.
Hubby and I finally made the commitment to do the Deep Treatment, we have a couple of small projects we hope to accomplish, but it will not be the large overhaul we originally envisioned.

thanks for the pic...I'm kind of really excited about the results of my switchplate project.
And I'm in New Orleans by the way...

I am in Dayton, OH and hopefully I'll be posting pictures some time this week!

I signed up too - maybe I got excluded because I technically live in NY state...but I'm so far west in NY that I'm halfway between NYC and Chicago, and my heart belongs to Chicago so please let me be in your cure!
I have a mother's helper coming in half an hour so I can start sifting through the mountains of baby clothes and other miscellaneous cr*p that has taken over my house. I posted a before pic of my guest room, where guests can't even walk in let alone find the bed or sleep in it.

oops, you did have me. mea culpa!

I'm in! I may have filled out the wrong form. LauraII, in MI, aka lolagrinnin on Flickr. May have to speed up for the first couple weeks since we have friends coming in from out of town for Easter weekend. I've been waiting for a sunny day to take some pics of the current state of affairs, but I may die holding my breath.

I also signed up for the Chicago cure but on the NY page, but I did pick Chicago. Add me please?

I did a quick whole-apt. cleaning this Saturday because the BF invited friends over (I found out at 1 pm while recovering still from the night before!), and it really helped jump-start my curing. I didn't get to wash all the floors and baseboards, etc., but I swept and quickly cleaned and decluttered so now I feel like I have a better starting point. At the moment nothing is so bad that I can't face it (well, except for my closet maybe! See the note above :) )

I signed up on the form too and joined flickr (I'm minhus there).

Gulp.
I did it.
I've put my ghastly "before" photos on flickr.
Ugh.
Since flickr isn't linked in my profile, I have to take the added step of actually linking you to these horrible pictures. Only for the Cure!

I live in Oklahoma City.
I jumpstarted too, since I have done a lot of thinking on how to improve the bathroom after the Fall Cure. This weekend I started to deconstruct the gingerbread wood molding: I'm trying to be as green as possible by reusing all I can, recycling or donating the rest. I removed most of the wallpaper, and that is going in the trash.
I found some water damage, a leak from the window, that needs fixing.

The floors are now washed, even though it's not Floorsday... vacuuming will happen later in the week. (Wish I'd already saved up enough for the Dyson Animal that I'm working towards...)
I've put my "one thing" out -- every once in a while, there's a charity pick-up at our building. By sheer amazing coincidence, one of those occasional pick-ups is tomorrow. The euro-pillows have left the building (or at least, they've left my apartment).
I may have had an idea of how to cobble together my own headboard. (I like inventing ways of doing things. I can't just go out and buy a headboard, because of budget and allergy problems.) So I'm going to try this idea and see if it's scathingly brilliant or not. If it works, you'll hear more. (I have until bedroom week to make it work!)
Now to find a spot in the apartment where I've never sat before... besides the balcony. Although it's quite a lot warmer than it has been, I don't really want to spend 10 minutes perched out on the balcony with the temp hovering around the freezing point. Maybe I could sit by my bookcases and look at the desk? (Maybe I could skip that step?)
Good to be Curing again, I have to say!

I've defined my goals for the Cure. In addition to the general cleaning and reconfiguring of the Deep Treatment, I'm going to finally put up all my curtains (for the last fall cure I'd just moved in and was still deciding what to do with the windows) and deal with some annoying miscellaneous boxes in my spare room. Just tonight I've been dusting and doing some small repairs.
I'm also blogging at delpantanocure.blogspot.com.

I am in for the Cure, and I think I'm committing myself to a Deep Treatment since I'm moving into an new place. I am from Oklahoma.
Hopefully I will go to the house soon and take better "before" pictures to post on flickr. This weekend's attempt didn't turn out so well...

I'm definitely in, but I don't see my name, and now I'm going to go looking for how to get myself added. . . .

I'm in for the third time. I am re-doing my bedroom and my 3yr olds bedroom, finishing my laundry room project, and de cluttering and cleaning my studio. Seems like a lot now that I have it written down....... anyway- my pics are on flickr- I'm the farmersdaughter there, and I blog too at justonemorechair.blogspot.com

LOL! I was so swamped yesterday that I didn't get to check the site. So I was scrolling down, and scrolling down and then I think, "Hey! I have a bowl just like that!"..."Hey! That IS my bowl!" :)

Oh, and btw, this Alana is in Chicago. ;)

OK, so I'm all set up for my second cure attempt. I've started a blog and posted photographs of my frightening starting point. Making a blog seemed to take a lot of guts, for some reason! Here we go, nevertheless......

I had also signed up for the Chicago tour using the form last week. I am in Tennessee. My digital camera is not cooperating so I have not uploaded pictures yet but I hope to soon.

Wait, before you buy paint and make sure you know what you think of Maxwell's whole "cool and warm" directives.
