Sushi ($4,560)
There's this "family" of chairs by
Fernando and Humberto Campana, and we find our opinion of the style shifting all over the place. We first saw this
nest-like chair (Sushi IV, below), and thought, "Yeah, fun, inventive, vibrant vision." The more styles we saw, the more confused we became. Some repell us, some draw us in, which makes us recognize these chairs more as art objects than as practical seating. So, out of this family of four Sushi chairs, which do you vote "Hottest"? See the three more images below the jump before you vote!
None of these designs appeal to me as furnishings or art. They look rather pre-schoolish to me; or shall I say trash-collectorish.
Gross. For $4,500 or $29,000, they all look awful and I would never recommend them or buy them for myself. It looks like the chair in your room that is constantly over-run by clothes, which you are trying to get rid of... not emulate with a matching chair that costs that of a small car.
And what does "sushi" have to do with it?!
I am not sure which is more appalling, the design or the price tag accompanying it. No thanks!
For art pieces, sure they're cool looking.
But for practical use... No, just not my style or relevant to my interests. They looks like to much, you know?
Sushi II could be cool, I think.
The others are... no. Though I bet my cat would like the first one, as he loves the hamper.
These look like a clump of dirty clothes! How dare they try to charge someone A YEAR OF COLLEGE TUITION for a stack of felt and fabric?!?!?!
Ha, this is terrible. Might as well have made a quilt, at least it would keep you warm.
