If you could nap anywhere in your home, where would it be? Some people are convinced the only place to secure a few minutes of good rest is in bed with an alarm clock set. Others swear by the couch or their favorite reading chair. If given the chance, where's the best place to catch some shut eye on the sly? Let us know after the jump!
In my own personal house, if I head to the bedroom for a nap, I have to nap for at least an hour. If I need to catch a quick 20 minutes, I set the timer on the stove and sprawl out on the couch (typically with the dogs behind my legs looking out the living room windows).
This isn't ideal for everyone however, so leave us a note and tell us where your favorite napping spot is!

If I nap on the bed, I'm done. I prefer taking my naps on the couch, snuggled up with a blanket

Couch, chair by the window, bed, floor... I'm a very dedicated napper.

I usually nap on the bed, it's more comfy. However, I have been known to nap on the couch and in my car, not while driving of course, but during my lunch break at work. Nothing beats a midday nap while at work.

Sometimes nothing feels better than crawling into cool sheets midday for a nap, but it makes it hard to get up! Mostly, I nap on the couch with a normal bed pillow rather than a couch pillow (somehow I sleep better with a regular pillow).

I love napping on the couch. I think that's my favorite place to nap.

couch. I just bought a new couch before moving into my apartment and it's SO comfy for a lazy Sunday nap.

I usually nap on the couch with one cat on my belly and another at my feet. I have been known to nap on the bed but that is normally a much longer nap and it is always on top of the covers never under. I often doze in the car on long trips when my husband is driving. Unfortunately at work, I tend to nap during meetings after lunch when the lights are turned off.

anywhere. really. it doesn't take anything and i am out! love it too....i can get the best naps. it depends what i'm in the mood for. a short nap? the couch. a long comforting nap? the bed. and ooooo can i sleep! it killed me when i left college and entered the "real world" where i couldn't take a nap midday! it took months to adjust!

I rarely nap, but it's usually on the bed, since I have to drag pillows to the couch to make it comfy.

just woke up from sleeping in my car. Did it all the time when I commuted in college - Today I was so tired I decided to drive to work just to be able to take a nap. I've always wanted to sleep on the grassy slope right outside of Olvera Street, but too many bums chill there. I'm afraid of getting my wallet taken.

chusmabilly, it's good to see I'm not the only one who enjoys sleeping in my car at work.

My bed -- until recently we haven't had a sofa. Now that my bf is back on hemodialysis -- at the break of dawn -- I've been doing a lot of sleeping in the car.

Well, at home, the upstairs loft beside the bookshelves (my bed means not waking up for another four hours). But, seeing as how I'm in my little dorm (which, considering, isn't really that little) I only have two options; bed or fort.
I choose the fort, a little nook of rugs, blankets, and pillows that I created under my bed and am currently trying to curtain off. I should just get a bean bag.

My couch. If I take a nap in the bed, I'm DONE for the day.

The couch, for sure. Especially in the middle of the day when the livingroom is sunny!

I nap on the guest room bed, but it must be with one of the pillows from my bed. I'll nap on the couch if I'm lying on it and feel drowsy.

I can't generally nap ... if I fall asleep any time after 7 or 8 (when I get home from work), I'm done for the night. But on weekends, the best place to take a nap is my boyfriend's parents' couch. The minute I lie down there, I pass out.

When I was in college, I used to love taking naps in the sun on the grassy lawns of the Quad...
...now I nap on the sofa under a bright red woollen blanket.

It usually happens at my desk at work. Unintentionally. 8^(

i grab a blanket and a pillow and nap on top my parents bed. Their room is the coolest place in the house.

Couch. Somehow it feels illicit and more like a guilty pleasure that way. Also, my dog can nap with me on the couch (he's not allowed in the bed).

Napping is one thing in my life I've figured out. On my bed, but not under the covers. And on my stomach, head turned to the side (I sleep on my side at night). 15-20 minutes, never more, no alarm clock, and I awake refreshed. It's like rebooting a computer. The downside is I don't have a spot where I can do it at work -- I swear, I'd be so much more productive if I could....

I have a hard time with naps, but I've been catching 15-30 min on the couch lately in the afternoon, between calls for work (I work remotely part of the day.) With my pomeranian curled up next to me, on the couch, must have a blanket, even a light one. If I sleep longer than that, I need a coffee and feel "off."

I hate to sleep during the day. I wake up and I'm groggy for hours. Plus it interferes with my night time sleeping. Very rarely, I'll fall asleep in my chair while I'm at the computer, but I never intentionally try and nap.

a friend once had 3 golden rules of napping:
1) never under the covers
2) never undressed
3) never go to nap while the sun is up to wake after sundown

i live in charleston, so the summer is full of naps on the beach. otherwise, it's the bed at my house or the couch at my parents' house.

I keep a pillow under my desk at work that I can pull out for nap emergencies - I just lock the office door and set the cellphone alarm. Thank god I don't have to work in a cubicle.

kls987- I snapped this quick photo of my niece passed out after a family party. She was so peaceful, I just couldn't resist.

I'm a couch napper. For some reason napping on the couch feels decadent while napping in the bed just feels like sleeping.

oh, geez. the couch, by far. put me in that bed and i'll never wanna get back up to finish the rest of the day. plus, if you don't have a couch you ever wanna nap in, what are you doing with the thing anyways?

When I was on grave shift I napped everywhere but my favorite spot was in the hammock under shady trees. Even into the fall I'd just grab a comforter and head out to the yard for some rest. Only thing I miss about that shift!

I usually take a nap unconsciously on my desk chair. its one of those executive black leather chair you find in office depot. i end up taking a nap when i watch a movie on my computer, or just watching some online videos. the ironic part is, when i realize i'm sleepy and move to my bed, i don't feel sleepy anymore.
