In our search for a console desk for our budget apartment makeover, we looked around the web for some inspiration. Many of these aren't what you'd call budget items, but it never hurts to look at well-styled photos for ideas...

HAHA! Archie, I thought the same thing. And then realized that it was just an unfortunate looking phone. :)

IKEA has two different GUSTAV desks. Not sure how well they hold up, but they look clean and simple, with just a touch of personality. I'm thinking about replacing my $25 POS desk with one of the GUSTAV desks.

Wow that was funny. I of course scrolled back up to see what I had "missed" in that photo. I laughed out loud for sure. And yes, that's an unfortunate looking phone.

I have the CB2 Trig desk and its great. I love it! It's a great size but mine has a keyboard tray that I leave my other laptop on and slide out.

Very easy to put together!

I was having a hard time trying to find a narrow width desk for my bedroom and I just ended up using the Malm bedside table from Ikea.

That phone's a classic! I used to collect them from Ebay.

BTW does anyone know where the console/desk in the 1st pic comes from? The mirror looks amazing too - but I'm sure the price tag's just as impressive.

The console/desk in the first pic is the Morton from Graham and Greene which is an English company. I doubt they ship but you never know!
