Portable Sewing Table at Comfort House

20071211sewing1.jpgWe always have so many projects going at this time of year. We're cutting and pasting our holiday cards on the coffee table, wrapping presents in the guest room, and sorting through ornaments on the living room floor. Before we know it, our home looks like a festive elf skipped in and exploded.

This Portable Sewing Station might be meant for a seamstress but we think it's just the thing to rein in anyone's project mess. It's a smart (and cute) solution to fitting a desk into a small space.

See how it folds up after the jump!

20071211sewing2.jpgThe tabletop folds out to a decent 48 inches of workspace and there are five drawers to hold all your odds and ends. The surface is made from Melamine laminate, which should hold up well to X-Acto knives and easily wipe clean of glitter glue. The entire unit is on casters so it can be wheeled all around and pushed back into a corner when the job is done.

Normally it sells for about $250 but Comfort House is offering a web special at only $180.

This looks perfect for the DIYer living in a small space... I have a fold-out sewing table that stays folded out, but that is only because I have the space. This could easily be tucked in a corner and pulled out when needed. And cute to boot!

They only way I'd be happier is if the wood trim was pink!
