I've been scoping these out along with other end/side tables at CB2, Ikea, West Elm, etc. I wish I could see these in a store, because they are adjustable and a pretty decent price. How sturdy are they?

I hate checking out different tables (or floor lamps, for that matter) in stores, and they turn out to be wobbly and unsteady.

This would be perfect in my bedroom, because I've wanted a table I can read, write, or "laptop" on, when I need to get away. I live in a very small apartment, so my office is in my living room. Sometimes, headphones are not enough. I need to get away from my husband and the TV he has on.

Ikea has a non-adjustable one for $13 -- we have one on either end of our sofa and they are lightweight and slide right in to serve as our regular laptop desks as well:

That IKEA table is crap and won't adequately or safely hold a laptop...its too low to work at anyways. There are better alternatives at a similar price point.

I'm kicking myself because we just bought from Room & Board a table with a similar concept:

While we're happy with the one from Room & Board, I also would have been happy paying $130 less for the one from PB Teen. D'oh!

(Although perhaps the one from Room & Board will hold up better over time?)

This is a pretty close analogue to Jasper Morrisson's NesTable. Not as chic, sturdy, or colorful...but nearly $700 less.
