Making A Coffee Table From Lack Shelving

103108-ikeahacker.jpg We are big fans of repurposing objects for other uses, which is why we love the creative thinking behind this super low coffee table. Click through the jump to see how it's done...

Ikea's Lack Shelves are common items to use in different ways. This morning, Ikeahacker showed us a great DIY project that is full of color and clean lines. Five shelves were used as the surface and the wall mounts were used as legs. How clever!

very creative, especially using the mounting hardware as legs. but i think all of those shelves would be around $100, so it's not cheap by Ikea standards at least.

That's a great hack. I gave away a couple of white Lack shelves a few months ago when I moved. Pity I never thought of hacking them like this!

(Another idea I did have recently was using them as a window seat for my cat.)
