Metalace Art

021309honeymood.jpgWe love the idea behind Talila Abraham's Metalace art pieces: building on the history of handcrafted vintage lace work, Abraham uses "contemporary materials and advanced technology" to create something new. These Metalace tabletop pieces are made from stainless steel and based on 16th through 19th-century lace patterns from around the world:

Pretty - but I'm sort of done with people "recontextualizing" things.
