Watching Project Runway this week, we noticed a few different commercials thrown into the mix of the obviously clothing-centric ones (Levi's). We were surprised by the interest in
homewares and appliances, specifically Corelle and Kohler. In the Corelle ads, models take to the slick catwalk with various plates in hand. And when they slip and fall? Yup, the plates can survive the drop unscathed. Creative ad campaign aimed at us Runway fans, or a testament to the life and quality of Corelle (or both)?

both! for one, who doesn't love to see a catwalk spill? for two, my parents had corelle dishes while we were kids, and those things really are indestructible. i think they had those damn things so long that the ugly 70s pattern was back in style by time my mom got rid of them.
A neat story about the display model falling and the corelle dishes not breaking. But they do break. I had a soup plate of milk glass corelle ware break just a week ago. I am trying to locate a source to replace it. Any help would be appreciated. I checked the local Kmart store but they no longer have that pattern in open stock or even in a set. Help!
