Smart & Portable Dishware from The Land of Nod

20080603dining1.jpgThese dishes may have been conceived with children in mind but we think they're smart (and snazzy) enough for any age.

The Snack Plate seen here comes with two small-portion bowls that lock onto the edge of the plate for easy transport. A great idea for kids but also great for a picnic of BBQ'ed chicken with Bourbon dippin' sauce.

Jump down to see our favorite invention for eating on the go...

20080603dining2.jpgThe Snack Ball! We love this product so much that we momentarily wanted to eat from nothing but. Yet, we now realize this might not be the best container for saucy morsels. Cheerios, yes. Raisins, certainly! Nuts, grapes, crackers, cheese...the list goes on and on.

Another plus is that both products, designed by Boon, are made from BPA-free plastic so you don't have to worry about chemicals seeping into your tasty snack.

The Ball and the Plate are available through The Land of Nod online but call ahead for store availability.

Having a diabetic in our home, I usually pack my husband several small snacks a day (nuts exc) and the ball would be perfect for that!
When it's out on his desk people won't assume that he's ALWAYS eating since there won't be a ziplock or tupperware sitting out!
