We had to blog this cup. We hit the road on Saturday to visit some friends who are spending time out at their parents place north of the city. Being a tireless and possibly annoying (we co-opted our friends coffee to get this shot) blogger, we snapped a photo of this Terre e' Provence coffee cup poolside.
Part of a breakfast set with a saucer, this is THE perfect size and shape for a cafe au lait. Oversized, but lightweight, it has a hefty rounded handle and super shiny glaze.
It manages to feel substantially sized enough for the classic breakfast treat and fragile enough to be special - definitely not your paper cup from Starbucks. Terre e' Provence pottery has been made in Dieulefit, France since 1934 and is hand finished.
We found a set of four (a mix of colors or four of your favorite) online for $46. here at Pottery and More, but Terre e' Provence pottery can be found in many shops in Chicago, such as Porte Rouge and Tabula Tua.
