Melanie Schiff's photographs feel like the morning after a long night of drinking beers around a campfire, when the world looks a little strange and there's a unique yellow light that illuminates the empty glass bottles on the ground. I'm pretty sure that one of the canoe is from Oxbow - the SAIC artist camp in Saugatuck, MI. At least they have a canoe named Beatrice there too. Very nice!
