Melanie Schiff's photographs feel like the morning after a long night of drinking beers around a campfire, when the world looks a little strange and there's a unique yellow light that illuminates the empty glass bottles on the ground. Schiff lives and works in Chicago. You might recognize the photo above from the MCA's Sympathy for the Devil: Art and Rock and Roll exhibition. Click below for more photographs.

I'm pretty sure that one of the canoe is from Oxbow - the SAIC artist camp in Saugatuck, MI. At least they have a canoe named Beatrice there too. Very nice!
