Best of Three: Erin Adams GlassTile for the Bath

2008-03-21-best3tile.jpg
Same material, same designer, similar colorways, very different "looks". For the bathroom, which pattern would you choose for design longevity and style?

From Left to Right:
Erin Adams Mosaic - Large Stone - starting at $72. sq/ft.
Erin Adams Quilt - Medium Squares - starting at $123.75 sq/ft.
Erin Adams Facet - Hoot - starting at $87.50 sq/ft.

I have tiles very similar to the sample on the far left in my kitchen backsplash.

They weren't installed properly so they don't look as great as I was hoping.

Would these be installed in sheets? Mine, not this brand, were in stalled in square sheets and I really don't like how you can see the seams where one sheet ends and the next starts.

According to the info on the Ann Sacks site, the Erin Adams mosaics are sold in sheets (12x12) as well. I think that is pretty standard, so it generally is up to the installer to work with the pattern and stagger the edges to avoid the noticable straight seams.

...and, nice looking backsplash, seams or not, btw!

seeing the sheet seams is one of my biggest pet peeves. best bet is to ask ann sacks (or where you purchase the tiles) for referrals and they are happy to give you a list of people that have installed with their tiles before. you might pay a lil bit more, but it's worth it.

We were dying to get the Erin Adams from Ann Sacks for our kitchen backspash, but we found the stratospheric pricing to be rather over the top. So we went with a mother of pearl tile from Porcelanosa at a fifth of the price. Not as nice, but we didn't feel silly buying it.
