This design is timeless. The great thing about it is that if the owner wanted to restore it, he/she could duplicate it perfectly.

I am looking to renovate my 1920's bungalow bathroom (w/claw foot tub) and want the same kind of hexagonal tile. Not the tear-drop pattern, just plain white will do.
I have seen similar tiles at Lowe's and HD, but they are all shiny and non-authentic looking. Any ideas for sources for these types of tiles? I'd prefer a matte finish with non-rounded edges, if possible.

hit a tile outlet near you, they'll have plenty to choose from.

You can look for a distributor of Dal-Tile. They make a small white hex tile that is matte. However, it's not as flat as the original tiles (there's a slight edge on it above the grout if you know what I'm talking about).

We had to do a patch job in our bathroom. You can tell it's not the original but it looks ok. It's better than the hole and view of the ceiling below that used to be there.

Old Town Bar & Restaurant has a similar floor-- but not as complicated a "snowflake" pattern.

I had a picture which had a detail of the border pattern--does the Dollop Coffee Floor have one too? I would love to replicate this look in my future home!

These floors, Dollop & Old Town Bar, are eerily similar! Dollop DOES have a border around their main floor. Sorry I didn't snap a photo of it. I encourage you to run over and check it out, if you're in the neighborhood.
