TileVault: French Restaurant Floors

2007-08-02-bistro.JPG

What: The Floors at Bistro Zinc
Where: 1131 N. State, Chicago
When:Photos taken Sunday 07.22.07, 2:30 pm
Why: Old fashioned bistro floors made us feel like we were on vacation instead of out for a lazy Sunday lunch. The thirties color combo of gray, mustard, black and red and the intricate deco geometric pattern.

Quartino http://www.quartinochicago.com/ did a nice job with the tile in their entryway and bar area. Not as colorful but pretty. It also has the cool subway tile (maybe some borrowed inspiration from Balthazar, Schillers, etc.) http://www.pastisny.com/tour02.html
