Thanks to designersblock for the heads up! We've now spent a good portion of our afternoon entranced and are off to buy some flowers!
Hmm. Those all-white boquets don't seem especially "French" to me. When I lived in Paris, I saw vibrant color combinations -- orange with pink, red with purple, red with pink, or white with almost-black tulips. Never just a bunch of the same flower plunked in a vase.

The most beautiful floral arrangements I saw in Paris were in the lobby of the George V and they were created by an American Florist. Go figure.

but what do nationalities have to with flower arrangements? you just have to be...umm...inclined...non?
and i think the real french - the ones who'll drink coffee out off any old bowl closest to hand - will just plop some fresh cuts into any old vase and go voila!
