you can get the block printing and screenprinting kits at a lot better places then Urban Outfitters. Dick Blick is a good choice and they have stores near chicago. UO is just going to rip you off on something you can get cheaper...

Not even the list price is the same on the speedball kit, and the fact that you get it for just over 17...

I eyed that vinyl tiling kit as I've been hoping to do something similar in my kitchen (I know people are sick to death of the trend, but in an apartment where painting isn't an option vinyl decals are one of the few wipe-clean options availalbe), but alas that is far from the color palatte I have in mind.

If anybody knew of any similar kits in bright green shades I'd be happy for the link. Right now I'm looking at buying larger, solid shaped decals that I could cut up (surprisingly difficult to find in a bright green).

I agree with jmorey! I'd try Dick Blick or Utrecht for block printing/rubber stamp carving/screen printing materials.

Yes, stuff like this is cheaper at Dick Blick (or better yet, an locally owned art supply storre) but I like the fact that Urban is selling stuff like this to the hipsters. I like it when people are creative.

I do a LOT of screenprinting and that speedball screenprint kit is really hard to use. You're better off using the diazo emulsion (photo emulsion) or better yet a print gocco.

Great kits! How I love my DeWalt drill. Don't forget the dremel.

I agree that you can/should buy the Speedball products at a locally-owned art store, but I want to add that block printing is *FUN*. Everyone should try it!
