Top Ten: Stylish Toothbrushes

2006-04-18-toothbrush pic.jpgIn honor of bathroom month and the passionate toothpaste discussion going on yesterday at AT-NY, we attempt a Top Ten Stylish Toothbrush lineup. While we are firm believers in the miracle of Sonicare, sometimes you need a good old manual toothbrush (for travel, or in your purse or gym bag) - so we went searching for some sweet looking ones...

Alan Stuart: laminated fabric handles in tons of colors and patterns - we always love these.

OHSO Presto : with refillable toothpaste inside - according to their site "the Presto brush represents the best in portable adventure travel" !!

The rest of the list:

  • Swissco Checkered Natural Bristle: from Switzerland
  • Philippe Starck: Dr. Kiss with holder
  • Blonde wood with natural bristle: from Italy
  • Radius: big, crazy and colorful
  • Preserve: recycling is beautiful
  • Pink glitter :need we say more?

Your turn - what's your favorite brush?

I forget where I saw it, but some time ago I was at a store in Detroit and saw a tortoiseshell toothbrush (faux I assume). I remember it was ridiculously expensive and I couldn't bring myself to spend that much for a toothbrush even though I loved it.

I used to use a great toothbrush that had disposable heads and they snapped onto the handle. Very green. I don't know what happened to it but I would love to get another one.

I would like to know where that toothbrush holder can be found.

Anne... I have that toothbrush with the disposable heads. It's great! Why throw away the handle everytime the bristles need replacing? You can get them at Whole Foods or any other "eco" grocery store.

Don't laugh but Aldi has some great kids toothbrushes right now. You press the bottom and a red light flashes through the toothbrush for one minute. When the red flashing stops, you know it's time to stop brushing. I got my son a blue one and he loves it. I'm going back for more for my nieces and nephews.

aquarabbit - Thanks! I will be heading to WF in the next day or two and hunt it down. I'm pretty sure I got my last one when living in the bay area. Must have gotten lost in the move.

    Adam,

At www.edentalstuff.com you can get a tortoiseshell toothbrush for about $5. Not so much for a wonderful little bit of luxury twice a day!
