Custom Medicine Cabinets from Al Bar Wilmette Platers

082008albarwilmettecabinet.jpgEarlier this year we posted about Al Bar Wilmette Platers, and we just heard from them about a recently completed medicine cabinet fabrication here in Chicago. Look how classy! The cabinets with mirrors are made of brass and done in a high polished nickel finish.

We can imagine this upscale design looking amazing in an otherwise simple bathroom as well: single sink, all white, no frills. A look like this can surprisingly work in many ways...

Thoughts?

idc how much it cost, it still looks super tacky and the countertop looks like someone blew their load all over it. ew.

Hah! 212gretchen-- did you mean minimcmansiontherapy.com, or possibly conspicuousconsumption.com?

Seriously, AT, what gives these days??

Not feeling the consoles or counter tops but the medicine chests are gorgeous.

I don't know how I ended up on brokeandwhiny.com.

For anyone else looking for really lovely medicine cabinets, there's Wood Essnetials.

I think it's the counters that make them look minimcmansion-ish. They could look great and non-pretentious given the right setting.

Not my bag, though. Wouldn't buy them.
