Holy Hello Kitty! A Totally Kitty Home

Yow. We've been Sanrio fans since waaaaaay back, but we think this might be a bit much even for the most die-hard kitty fanatics. It's got bows, it's very pink and we're not talking dollhouse, this is a full size home....

...but, one that is for vacationers. It is located in Taiwan and from the link, it's part of a resort.

Could you imagine lounging on the bowed sofas, watching the flat screen on the kitty-ear shelf? Even for just a holiday weekend? If so, check it all out right here.

Wow, that's so messed up and hilarious! I think I'd love a weekend there, though. Why not?

Oh wow...LOL...I figured it meant a room. I think I could imagine staying there if it was me and some of the girls having a trip - but I doubt many guys would feel too comfy.

Flat out silly...but then, I could see parents taking their little girls...IF there was a theme park involved.

Maybe for a theme park (like Toon Town at Disney World), but for an actual house... erm, no. It's atrocious to look at! I feel bad for the people living in the other houses on that street. A daily eyesore and it would MAJORLY decrease the value of the other homes.

For a Hello Kitty hotel, it's very tastefully done. For a Hello Kitty hotel.

The lil 5 y.o. girl in me jus got really really excited and then the 25 y.o. women kicked in :)
But I could see having a lil kids party there or a very obnoxiously pink theme baby shower

I agree with taritac. It'd be a nice place for a little girl's birthday or something. They could have a dressed-up tea party...

Are those cabinets in the armrests of the sofa? That's interesting.

Oh that's funny! Everyone over there is practically in love with Hello Kitty... Anyone ever see pictures from the Hello Kitty weddings? It's a little scary.

But I do have to say... if you take away the logos it's not horrible. It's better than overstuffed sofas and recliners or that 80's/90's post modernism crap or fruit and ivy wallpaper and pine country furniture.

well good news is it is a vacation house (part of a village of vacation houses...)

apparently the pink one on the website is the "English style romantic/elegant" suite.

Underneath that, we have the "French style happy country-living" hello-kitty house.

I dunno, for a vacation house I think i would get a kick out of it for a weekend.

No worse than going to Disneyland, or one of those Sesame Street-theme resorts. When you're a parent, you have to compromise a bit on your design sense, or risk having your kids grow up to write books about how mean you were.

You know, it is definitely not as bad as it could be. The interior carries the theme in a very stylish way.

If this were an actual residential house? I'd request the eye-bleach. But I completely get the vacation home draw for it.

Where else would Hello Kitty Brides go to honeymoon?

I would be somewhat horrified if this was someone's actual house, but as a vacation house it is kind of cool. I wouldn't want to go there, but it is certainly very well done for what it is.

to be honest, there isn't really that much hello kitty itself in the place. it's mostly just done up in pink. i expected hello kitty lamp shades, phones, cups, etc. they sell EVERYTHING hello kitty themed here in the US so i thought it'd be more like hello kitty detailed. it is tastefully pink. of course my nieces would LOVE to visit there...but that's it. just a visit is all i could do.
luckily that's exactly what this hotel is designed for.

Heh, I've seen plenty of homes posted here, that are more theme parks, trophy showoffs, or anal-retentive obsessive than this, than places for real people to live in - and those homes got raves.

I fortunately live accross the globe, and am no aquainted with Hello Kitty. But I have met lots of grown ups who are more facinated by a fur ball, than by a truly enchanting 2 year old who walks on two, and talks.
