Even though Escapes month is over, we managed to fit one quick end-of-summer getaway into our Labor Day weekend. We spent a couple of nights at the new Dana Hotel & Spa on State Street, where we enjoyed a fun weekend in our own city. While we were there we snapped a few photos of the studio-sized suite and its amazing views of downtown Chicago...

Although we booked a regular room, the staff upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge! The room included a lounge, eating area, bedroom, bath, and two balconies. The triangular cement balconies were small, but the views were great. This photo shows our eastern view reflected in the floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

...the double shower! The shower alone was about the size of our guest room at home. Glass and stone tile, marble benches, and rain shower heads made this our favorite part of the suite.
