Luxury Tent Living at Aman-i-Khás in India

In Rajasthan, on the border of Ranthambore National Park, lies an encampment of 10 canvas tents that make up the Aman-i-Khás resort. The tents are permanent structures, with curtains partitioning the bedroom, bathroom, and living areas...

Ceiling fans and air conditioning cool the rooms—no roughing it here. We think the layouts are pretty smart, with a central daybed in the middle of the canopy, a bed to one side, a bathroom next door, and a dressing area to the other side, all sectioned off by cotton screens. A row of screened "windows" surrounds the top of the tent, letting in the daylight. These tents don't come cheap. Rates are listed at $875 a night for your own personal hideaway in this remote nature reserve. A little out of our budget, but great inspiration nonetheless.

These would be a great structure to have in your backyard. Do they sell these tents as kits?

Tigers tents = no sleep for me. But then again I'm a huge wuss. Lovely tents, though.
