Certainly worth conversation, but not exactly the most restful looking of spaces: the
Hotel Fox in Copenhagen. Claiming itself as "the world's most exciting and creative lifestyle hotel," each room (61 rooms, 21 artists, 1,000 ideas) "is an individual piece of art. From wacky comical styles to strict graphic design. From fantastic street art and Japanese Manga to simply spaced out fantasies. You will find flowers, fairytales, friendly monsters, dreaming creatures, secrets vaults..."
Some cool, some crazy, some scary, here's a glimpse at a few:
I think the first photo is how it feels to be insane. The second one makes me want to urinate, the third one makes me want to find something green, like a park or forest, and the fourth makes me hope that John Steed and Emma Peel are around the corner and ready to rescue me.

Hee! I think the first photo is the prelude to a child's nightmare the bit just before it goes all dark and scary; the second is the result of the little dutch boy on crack; the third is "a modern day twist" on the "red tent" where women are banished to during their period; and the fourth makes me think that my thighs are too fat to ever where a cat-suit.

Kurt and Maryja,
Thanks for the first good hearty laugh of the day! I can't add a thing.

I dunno. I like the red room and the bold graphic B&W room. I also like rooms #206 and #306 (from the link). All 4 rooms feel very '70s Euro soft porn, which is a good thing for me. I think hotel rooms should by sexy because there's a lot of sex going on in hotels. These four rooms seem very Helmut Newton/Guy Bourdain-sexy. If I wanted to sleep, I'd check into Courtyard by Marriott.

Well, to be fair, I do really like room #309.

Exciting, over the top, too, too stimulating, yes! I could never close my eyes in such an environment because my brain would go into over-drive and NOT in a good way.
