The Story Hotel in Stockholm

Friends of mine just returned from a trip to Sweden, and this lodging spot comes on serious recommendation. The photos (our friends' and those on the hotel website) have us daydreaming of an art-filled retreat in an atmosphere that doesn't look as quintessentially Swedish as one might expect. The Story's ambition is...

"...to inspire guests and to bring our location to life with design, soul and art." Story showcases limited edition prints (in conjunction with Wonderwall art dealer) that hang throughout the hotel and rooms.

Picking our favorite images proved difficult. What we'd really love to do is just go enjoy the rooms, restaurant, and bar, one by one, and soak it all up. Enjoy the artwork and the tour.

(Thanks, Meredith and Andreas!)

Oh my gosh, what an AMAZING place. This just boosts my urge to visit Scandinavia. It may not be "quintessentially" Swedish in a traditional sense, but the spectacular style it shows is just as excellent as anything else Swedish.

AMAZING! I usually wouldn't like such a mish-mash, but this is SO well-done... it totally works! It takes an amazing talent to pull this off!
