Small Space Toilet: MiniLOO by Neo Metro

2008-03-05-miniloo2.jpgThe MiniLOO uses an in-wall tank system, saving lots of space in the bathroom. The look is super simple and streamlined, and is available in a choice of finishes...

The MiniLOO's green points: it made from recycled stainless steel (heavy gauge) and utilizes a dual flush system for water use savings and efficiency.

The wall hung installation is something we see more of every year as this cleaning-friendly trend takes hold.

yes, and when something goes wrong with any of the equipment in the tank, or you need to find the source of a leak, you have to rip out the drywall? I'll pass!

Not to be gross, but stainless steel is not good at hiding fingerprints or buttprints. I have a feeling that even the most print-resistant stainless steel would still reveal that someone else had left their impression on the seat.

I agree with jems that a stainless steel toilet would show every smudge. Although it looks lovely in the photo, I imagine this toilet would look pretty gross pretty quick.

Actually, that toilet would be more cleaning-friendly if it tapered down to meet the floor.

The gap shown beneath it is a great size for dust bunnies but too small for a mop head, so the only way to clean under it is to get down on one's hands and knees and kind of shove a sponge underneath, without the leverage to really scrub.

The way the top one is hung, there may be a spot in the middle back that no sponge or wipe will ever reach properly. Ask your maids if you don't believe me.

I like the streamlined, clean look of this, but the stainless one reminds me of a prison. Also, *heather leaf* brings up a good point about access later on, so I wanted to check it out on Neo Metro's website, but they have broken links to the in-wall tank (sold separatley from the toilet).

Most condos or apartments that were built with in-wall toilets have an access panel on the opposite side of the wall. If you put it in a private home, then you would need to plan for that.

Regardless of me liking it or hating it; I think the post was meant to inform and tell people what's out there and available now, not to praise it as the Jesus Toilet. Besides, it'll work for some people (who need tiny toilets. lol) and it'll be horrible for some others. So quit your bitching and give your maid a bigger paycheck, I bet she'll figure out how to clean under it. lol

I've never really gotten into Neo Metro's fixtures.

They do look somewhat institutional and they are super-duper expensive! I mean really expensive.
